On the morning of May 12th, the opening ceremony of 2014 International Culture Exchange Month and CTBU Study & Culture Tour was held. Nearly 60 professors and students from Widener University, USA, Rajamangala University of Technology Lana, Thailand, the University of Lincoln, UK, Swansea University, UK, and Windesheim University of Applied Science, the Netherlands, took part in this activity.
In the welcome speech, Prof. Gou Chaoli, Vice President firstly extended a warmest welcome to all the participants, and expressed her wishes that through the program, mutual understanding will be promoted and friendship strengthened between CTBU and partner universities. Student Representatives from the participating universities and CTBU also expressed their expectations and best wishes for the program.
During the one-month period, basic Chinese language courses and kinds of cultural lectures are arranged, together with local sightseeing, sports meet for fun, Chinese martial arts, etc. Professors from Widener and RMUTL will visit CTBU schools, deliver lectures and exchange with faculty of CTBU. Meanwhile, 25 students from Windesheim University of Applied Science will have the project of “Doing Business in China” with CTBU students from School of Business Planning. In addition, an International Culture Festival will be held by the international students on campus to demonstrate their home cultures.
This has been the sixth CTBU Study & Culture Tour since 2008.
