On April 1, Mr. Abera Kebede, Consul General of Ethiopia in Chongqing, visited CTBU. Prof. Sun Fangcheng, President of CTBU, and Prof. Gou Chaoli, Vice President of CTBU, met with the guest.

Prof. Sun Fangcheng expressed his warmest welcome to Mr. Abera Kebede and briefed CTBU, especially its opening-up strategy. Mr. Abera Kebede expressed his willingness to support the cooperation between CTBU and Ethiopian universities. Both sides discussed the possible ways of cooperation.

After the meeting, Consul General had a campus tour and was deeply impressed by the beautiful landscape and close collaboration between the university and industries.

Ethiopia is located in the northeast of Africa, the second most populous country in Africa. Ethiopia set up Consulate General in Chongqing in 2011.
