On the morning of May 24th, the closing ceremony of the 6th Culture & Study Tour was held in CTBU Students Innovation Center with participants from abroad and CTBU faculty and students.
Nearly 60 professors and students from Widener University, Western Carolina University, U.S.A., Wilfred Laurier University of Canada, Swansea University, UK, Rajamangala University of Technology Lana, Thailand, took part in this activity. During this 2-week program, the participants had some fundamental Chinese language classes and attended a series of activities with Chinese culture features as Chinese tea ceremony, Chinese Martial Arts, etc. They had also visited local enterprises and appreciated charming Chongqing through CTBU Color Run, and enhanced the communication betweem faculty and students from different universities. What's more, professors from the sister universities had exchanges with schools of CTBU for future cooperation. Professors from Widener University have addressed a lecture to CTBU students about “American Higher Education”. The participants also got involved in the activity “Let’s make a trade”, which was held by the School of Finance.
This program provided a platform for foreign participants not only getting access to the study and daily life at CTBU, but also experiencing the social and economical development of Chongqing.All the foreign participants regarded their trip as an extraordinary one and felt reluctant to leave Chongqing, which enhanced their familiarity with Chinese culture and Chinese people as well as help establish friendship with CTBU students. They indicated that they would come back to CTBU again in the future.
