The establishment of Chongqing Engineering Technology Research

Center for Information Management in Development was approved by the

Chongqing Municipal government in 2006 and in its formation drew on the

resources of Chongqing Technology and Business University. The mission

of the Center is to strengthen innovation in information technology and

information construction, to shorten the research and development

period of projects, and to improve the industrialization of the

high-tech products of information technology.  Additionally the Center

serves as an incubator platform for the scientific and technological

innovation in enterprise operation systems.

Guide Line

By integrating such subjects as economics, management, computer science

and environmental engineering of CTBU and other cooperating

governmental and enterprise units, the Center focuses on information

integration and information management.  Its research teams create

research that is multi-disciplinary and practical, that transfers the

decision-making and innovation expertise to application software, that

follows practical operation and technology criteria, that improves

research and application technology, and that enhances local economic

development with technological innovation.

Overall Goal

The overall goal of the Center is to strengthen communication with

relevant departments of the Chongqing Municipal and district

governments.  The Center fosters cooperation with enterprises and

research institutions both at home and abroad.  Likewise, the Center

promotes clear understanding of information technology as it applies to

 local economic and social development.  The Center has constructed a

characteristic research platform to serve the local economy as the

primary goal.  Finally, the Center serves as an incubator of high-tech

research innovation and transformation and as such has become a

first-class creative platform with national recognition.

Implementation

By using such information technology as data processing and information

extraction, sharing and integration of network information, expression

and analysis of data, mass data mining and application model, the

Center carries out research on the key concepts of regional information

construction, creative design and service application venues, resource

environment and urban and rural planning application demonstration,

information resources management, and decision-making support systems.

It also transfers the achievements of management and decision-making to

products such as software, operations technology, and technology

criterion.  Center innovations are highly discipline-integrated,

applicable with advanced technology, and have wide applicability in the

market.
